The Company
Maleny Credit Union(MCU Ltd) is the holder of Australian Financial Services Licence 246921 and is an
authorised deposit taking institution (ADI) regulated by the Australian Prudential Regulatory Authority (APRA).
MCU has been successfully operating as a community based credit union since 1984. MCU offers its members a range of services including on-call savings accounts, term deposits, lending services, insurance, financial planning service, free car search service and non-cash payment facilities including VISA debit cards, internet banking, electronic funds transfer, BPAY and more.
Lending services are provided to personal, self employed and commercial clients across a large range of products.
Job Description
This is a key lending position within the credit union.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Answering member enquiries
• Member interviews
• Processing applications
• Business development
• Monthly reporting and administration
• Preparing budgets and marketing plans
• Reviewing the lending policy
• Compliance within the lending area
Skills and abilities
• Well developed analytical skills
• Advanced computing skills
• Be able to work within a team
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise time
• Well developed report writing skills
Qualifications, knowledge and experience
• A min of 5 years lending experience
• At least 3 yrs with a lending delegation
• Experience in self employed lending
• Experience in commercial lending
• A sound knowledge of assessing financial statements
• Previous experience in preparing budgets
• Familiarity with APRA prudential standards
