Senior Mechanical Engineer (Design)
(Penang - Bayan Lepas)

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design & development of highly-sophisticated communication products for professional and mission critical markets in the commercial, government and industrial segments
• Utilize modelling & simulation software to create and evaluate designs, including ABAQUS for drop & impact simulation, CF Design for thermal stress prediction, and MOLDFLOW analysis for plastic moulding flow analysis, prior to releasing the design for tooling
• Work with a team of highly-qualified engineers to generate innovative ideas for the overall design concept for the mechanical system as well as the detailed design of the mechanical components which include plastic parts, sheet metal stampings, castings, rubber and lastomers to meet customer requirements

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines.
• Minimum 4 yearsworking experience in Engineering.
• Advanced degrees with MSc/M.Eng or PhD specializing in areas relevant to simulation-driven product design will be an added advantage.
• Understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes in injection moulding, sheet metal, die-casting, and DFMA (Design for Manufacturability and Assembly) is a MUST
• Knowledge and experience in acoustics, drop test & impact, latest display technologies and
• electromechanical components will be added advantages
• Experience in the use of CAD & CAE tools in product design
• Applicants must be willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
• The position is available on permanent basis.
• 8 Full-Time positions available.
• A good remuneration package will be offered for this position.
